Christmas “Holiday”
It’s that time of year again. Christmas is only 2 Mondays away, meaning the time for celebrations and family fun is finally upon us! However, do not be tricked by the term “holiday” as whilst you’re eating 10 mince pies and drinking beer after beer, someone else might be securing your dream role. Whilst everyone is entitled to relax at Christmas, putting in extra effort could be the big difference for your future career. Now I’m not saying there’s no time to sit back and enjoy yourself, but it wouldn’t hurt to begin preparation for once out of university. For example, there are many volunteering opportunities around Christmas, where getting involved could enhance your CV and show employers how dedicated you are. Furthermore, applying early for job roles you are interested in could secure interviews and potentially a career for once you have finished university. Little things like this will make a huge impact on yourself, only if you are willing to put in the work.
