2023 has been a blast for The Graduate. We have seen some amazing candidates come through our doors who have had to battle with the covid shut downs. They still succeeded with their degrees. These students have proved that they are resilient and can solider on no matter what is thrown at them.
Charity in 2023 with The Graduate
As a company we love to support local charities. Our nominated Charity for 2023 has been The Lewis Foundation. They continue to provide cancer patients with the Free packs to make their struggles that little bit easier.
Sarah our recruitment coordinator offered herself as the guinea pig for an amazing challenge. Sarah took on the challenge of Abseiling down Northampton’s Express Lift Tower in September. The tower is 418ft tall and based in the heart of the town. She agreed to this challenge even though she has not abseiled since she was a kid at school. She had also had mentioned it was on her bucket list. So win win for everyone.
From signing up to the challenge in June till the day Sarah completed the challenge, we worked hard on raising as much money as possible for this fabulous charity. Additionally, we even created our own unique shirt. This offered clients and local business’ the option to advertise their business logos in exchange for a small donation. We managed to raise an amazing £805 in total. Sarah excelled at the challenge and made us all so proud of this achievement.
The Lewis Foundation is a charity close to many hearts. The foundation was set up by Lee and Lorraine Lewis after they recognised the fear, upset and loneliness faced by individuals who undergo cancer treatment. These two set up the charity and they have built an army of almost 50 volunteers and hundreds of regular supporters. They deliver over 2,500 gifts to fourteen hospitals in the midlands every month. They produce 29 different packs which include things from toiletries, colouring books, puzzles, and even miniature radios to keep patients entertained. Another year another award for The Graduate!
We were over the moon to be advised that we won the “Best Graduate Recruitment Company for 2023 in the East Midlands” earlier in the year along with “2023’s Leading Graduate Recruitment Services Provider – UK”.
Awards like this really do make us proud. Being able to help the graduates look in to the future and achieve their dreams is a real achievement.
Sponsorship
We are happy to continue to sponsor Northampton Mavericks. The Mavericks are a close knit group with a squad of supporters watching on the side lines from parents, partners to kids, so come along if you want to watch. It’s a great thing for kids to get involved in. They are currently planning for developing a kids squad, developing future talent in this amazing sport.
Hybrid Cars update
So, as we reported we moved all company cars across to hybrid and at the end of 2022 they arrived. With us now having the cars for a year we can truly say they have saved us money while making a difference to the environment and additionally helping us hit our sustainability strategy.
2024 Graduates

With this in mind, we have already started to meet 2024 undergrads and we will be following up with them in the first week in January. We want to ensure they are ready to hit the ground running once they have finished university.
