Today, this firm handles up to 16,500 moves a week with a fleet of over 1,600 vehicles and employs 3,000+ highly flexible staff and drivers across 40 locations, from prime port to inland locations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Dealing with multiple drivers
  • Communicating with ports
  • Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
  • Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
  • Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
  • Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
  • Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
  • Speaking to customers on possible delays advising eta’s

Skills Required

  • Previous experience as a Traffic Operator – Essential
  • Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
  • Excellent UK geographical knowledge
  • Can work on own initiative
  • Quick and efficient problem solving skills
  • Organised at all times
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday shifts (daytime) Waiting on start time – between 6-8am start
