Local eateries will be looking for additional bar/waiting staff over the holiday period. Families gather for a special meal it will be getting busier.

Postal service. Royal mail become busier over the Christmas period with the additional parcels and letters it’s a good place to try. Additionally, if you drive you could look at courier companies like Evri, Yodel, Amazon to name a few.

Additionally

You could approach food banks or homeless shelters to volunteer to help. Voluntary roles look great on a cv. It shows you want to help and have made the effort within your local community to give the help that is so desperately needed.

Its important with any break from university you get that you fill it with some sort of work/voluntary experience. Ensure you take a break from studying but do think of the bigger picture, which is building your CV ready for when you graduate. All experience is good experience.
